New CEO to address Future Renting Wales conference

Ben Beadle, the new Chief Executive of the merged RLA and NLA, will address the RLA’s Future Renting Wales conference this month.

The new organisation, the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) will officially launch on January 2, with Ben responsible for uniting the two organisations and moving the new association forward.

In his first public engagement since taking the position, he will address delegates at the event at Cardiff’s Jury’s Inn on November 28th.

Ben said: “I will be updating the conference with the latest news regarding the merger of the two associations and my vision for the future of the NRLA. I am also looking forward to meeting delegates, including our landlord and agent members in person.”

This will be the third annual Future Renting Wales conference, with more than 200 delegates attending last year’s event.

Ben will be joining a line-up of speakers including Welsh Housing Minister Julie James AM, Bethan Jones of Rent Smart Wales, property expert Kate Faulkner, housing lawyer and RLA policy director David Smith and Laurence Bowles, and associated director within Savills’ research team.

The speakers will address delegates on issues including Rent Smart Wales, possession reform, the tenants fee ban in Wales and giving insights into the Welsh market, with the event hosted by BBC Wales favourite Lucy Owen.

The conference is open to anyone with an interest in private rented housing, from those renting out a single property to portfolio landlords, letting agents, Assembly Members, councillors, journalists, and housing charities.

Early bird tickets start from just £35 for RLA members and £45 for non-members and are available here.
