Plans for the weekend? Get Creative!

This weekend is Get Creative Weekend - a bumper three-day fiesta of arts, crafts and creativity open to adults and children up and down the country.

With over 500 interactive workshops, performances, talks and demonstrations; you’ll be able to join a wide range of activities from kite-making to flamenco dance classes and  pottery to circus skills.

The events will run from Friday 7 April until Sunday 9 April, many of which are free.

The aim of Get Creative and this weekend is to encourage people to try something new and creative, and to make arts and culture experiences accessible to all.

North:

Manchester: Watch furniture designer/maker Joshua Till bring the traditional craft of steam bending to life at this free demonstration. Traditionally used to produce the hulls of boats, tools and weapons, the technique has enabled Joshua to experiment and develop a new, exciting furniture collection, on display at Manchester Craft & Design Centre in his first ever solo exhibition, Modern Twist.
