Public Service Communications Awards 2021 winners announced

Congratulations to the winners of the Public Service Communication Awards, which were recently (24 November 2021) presented in a ceremony at the online Public Service Communications Academy.

These annual awards celebrate the most impactful campaigns and initiatives created by public sector communicators.

The awards were judged by Alix Macfarlane (LGcomms chair), Dee Cotgrove (Deputy Director for Professional Standards, GCS), Francis Ingham (LGcomms Executive Director) and Jo Pennington (Head of Assessment, Curriculum and Engagement, GCS).

The judges were impressed by the exceptionally high standard of work submitted this year.

Dee Cotgrove recently remarked:

“The quality of entries this year has been exceptional, and with so many fantastic pieces of work, choosing the winners was a tough process. Every year public service communicators demonstrate superb pride in their work and willingness to adapt.

“Once again, many in our communications community have gone above and beyond, and this year’s awards demonstrated just that. It was particularly pleasing to see such careful audience insight and evaluation, demonstrating our impact on improving and even saving lives.”
