Renewable energy update

Our Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) scheme provides transparency to consumers about the proportion of electricity that suppliers source from renewable generation.

All NPS customers should have now received their REGO certificates for 2019/20. The certificates confirm that:

  • 100% of the electricity supplied through EDF is renewable
  • 63% of the electricity supplied through EDF is generated in Wales. This is a 23% increase on the 40% the previous year.

Our customers are currently migrating from their current gas suppliers, Corona Energy (CE), to Total Gas and Power (TGP). The new contract with TGP starts on 1 April 2021.
