Report it to Stop it now

TfL has joined forces with the police to encourage people to report unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport.

The campaign forms part of a programme of policing activity to eradicate unwanted sexual behaviour on London's transport network.

Building on the ground-breaking 2015 'Report it to Stop it' film, which has been viewed more than 13 million times on YouTube, the campaign includes a new film which stresses that every report matters, is taken extremely seriously and provides valuable information to help catch offenders. It also warns potential offenders that they could be caught at any time.

Since TfL and the police launched the Project Guardian partnership in 2013, reports of sexual offences have doubled to more than 2,000 a year. There has also been a 36 per cent increase in arrests.

As part of the initiative, TfL is working with the British Transport Police, Metropolitan Police service and City of London Police to host events at major station hubs across the Capital. Officers will be providing specific advice to the public on how they can report instances of an offence.

  • To report unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport, text 61016 or call police on 101 and give details of what, where and when
