Results of techUK’s RASSO Tech Working Group

techUK is delighted to announce the results of the newly formed working group, in partnership with the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), Police Digital Service (PDS), College of Policing, Home Office and local policing partners, to tackle the barriers and challenges in Policing’s response to rape and serious sexual offences (RASSO).

This working group will, in-part, serve the RASSO Technology Partnership (RTP) Board, chaired by Chief Constable Sarah Crew, which is charged with a mission to improve capability in RASSO investigations, whilst also ensuring that technologies can be scaled across crime types to drive improvements in how digital material is processed across the sector. Its remit will be considered to include all parts of the investigative process. This working group will help to innovate, challenge and inform the strategic needs and requirements whilst also linking to the wider digital strategy across digital stakeholders.

techUK sits on the RTP Board and will be responsible for feeding output from this working group into the RTP Board.
