SQA seeks new board members
SQA is currently seeking three new members to join its Board of Directors. Current board member, and former director of Microsoft, Raymond O’Hare believes this is an exciting opportunity for talented individuals from a variety of backgrounds to make a valuable contribution to Scotland’s education and training system.
Raymond said: "At first, I thought all SQA did was look after exams, but it didn’t take me long to be amazed by the breadth of influence that the organisation has across a number of areas. Firstly within schools, and colleges in Scotland; but also the range of qualifications and associated services that SQA supports, and how the organisation shares its experience and expertise.”
Raymond added: “I encourage anybody, particularly coming from a business or technology background, to consider applying for one of these board positions. We need people who are committed, and have a passion for education to help drive the organisation forward, and achieve its goals!”
Applicants should complete the online application before 12noon on Monday 12 March.
