Senior staffing changes

Following the recent departure of Jonathan Hopkins, Marcella Maxwell has been appointed interim Deputy Director of Commercial Procurement in the Welsh Government.

Marcella is very experienced at dealing with the needs of Ministers, change management and leadership. Marcella will remain in post for 6 to 9 months whilst we recruit a permanent Deputy Director externally. As Marcella is not a procurement professional, Judith Budding, Head of Corporate Procurement Service, will remain interim head of the procurement profession within the Welsh Government.

Julie Harrison, Head of the Brexit Procurement policy team (and formerly the stakeholder manager for the NPS), leaves the Welsh Government next month.
