Smart thinking, smart secure solution: Avia
techUK CES 2020: GUEST BLOG – Mighton Products Ltd showcases the Avia Smart Home Suite.
Mighton Products Ltd has been at the vanguard of developing security and safety focused window and door hardware since 1983. The company now involves teams of professional designers, engineers and software developers who share a passion for designing and developing best-in-class products and solutions. Mighton already has a significant portfolio of products, but their latest exciting addition is a suite of Smart Home security products called Avia.
Avia is the brainchild of Mike Derham founder of Mighton Products. His drive and vision to engage new thinking, technology and hardware experience with good old-fashioned know-how, has resulted in this innovative suite of products, starting with the Avia Secure Smart Lock.
The Avia Secure Smart Lock has been simply designed to be the best and most secure product in the marketplace. From drawing board to production every detail has been meticulously analysed and rigorously tested and retested in order to create a genuinely exceptional smart lock.
The Devil is in The Detail
Practically every component of the Avia secure smart lock system has its own accreditations. As a whole, the Avia secure smart lock delivers innovative and class leading security features and benefits.
That is why it is the only Apple HomeKit approved smart lock for handle-operated multipoint doors. In order to ensure the highest level of software security, it even has developed bespoke software for the fob for ‘out of band’ pairing technology preventing ‘man in the middle’ attacks.
This secure smart lock uses Apple HomeKit, being the most secure technology software platform with the flexibility to work with a number of different access points: iPhone, key fob, keypad, iPad, Apple Watch, and there is even manual key override. No other smart lock for handle-operated multipoint locking doors has this level of features to suit consumers’ convenience and lifestyles
Avia offers security and safety in homes across the globe, and we Mighton will be retailing it across UK and Europe; North, South, and Central America; as well as in Asia, and the Caribbean.
Accredited And Firsts
So far, Avia has enjoyed success after success with a number of security accreditations and industry recognitions. For example, the secure smart lock is the first smart lock to ever be accredited by Sold Secure which is administered by the Master Locksmiths Association, obtaining their Silver accreditation standard.
The locking cylinder is a Euro TS007 3-star cylinder accredited by Secured by Design, a UK Police initiative focused on designing out crime. This cylinder also has been accredited by Sold Secure to SS312 Diamond standard.
The Avia Secure Smart Lock is also the first smart lock in the world to gain the prestigious BSI - Internet of Things Verified for Residential accreditation and the first to be accredited with the European and TS 103 645 consumer IoT security technical specification by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).
The Avia Secure Smart Lock has also just been announced as the ‘Smart Lock of the Year 2020’ in the global IoT Breakthrough Awards.
Avia will be at CES 2020 and will showcasing the Avia Smart Home Suite at this global stage for innovation like-minded pioneering thinkers, developers, designers, and inventors.
