Unlimited festival is back! Born out of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad to coincide with the London Paralympic Games, Unlimited festival is a biennial festival which celebrates the creativity and vision of a range of disabled artists. Southbank Centre hosts the fourth Unlimited festival this week.

The five-day festival will take place over the Southbank Centre site, kicking off today Wednesday 5 September until Sunday 9 September. Unlimited festival is inclusive and wants everyone to get involved – they will host an eclectic spread of free events across the five days.

The festival showcases work which challenges preconceptions, provokes debate, and shines a light on issues which are not always discussed around disability. Artists involved this year include: Inner Vision Orchestra & Baluji Shrivastav OBE, Jess Thom, Jackie Hagan, The British Paraorchestra, Laurence Clark, Jo Bannon, Aby Watson & Dan Daw, Caroline Bowditch and The Unlimited House of Krip.

Joyce Wilson, London Area Director for Arts Council England, said: “Unlimited festival is, as always, a very exciting moment in the cultural calendar.
