Team Leader apprentice successfully completes end-point assessment with EPA Plus
Tony Rossiter has successfully completed end-point assessment for the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship standard.
Tony works as a Senior Engineering Change Coordinator and decided to do the Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship at a later stage in his career because he wanted to test and demonstrate his skills in effective leadership and management.
“I found the apprenticeship really informative and my tutors had excellent learning and teaching styles. As they were friendly and easy-going, I found them easy to approach if I had any queries. Everyone was kept involved throughout the different modules to ensure understanding and interest was maintained.
“The only challenge I faced during my apprenticeship was time. Under the current climate at work, with redundancies and job change, it became more and more difficult to free up the required time to devote.”
“I found the EPA well-constructed and straightforward. It was good to have the opportunity to break up the sections on multiple choice questions and then the professional discussion, as it allowed more focus for preparation in each area. The assessor, Keith from EPA Plus, was extremely articulate and friendly. This made me feel very comfortable and at ease, which led to a very easy and open discussion.
“I completed this apprenticeship as I wanted to consolidate my belief in still being able to lead and manage people effectively, which the Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship has done. I’m currently considering my options at this time of my career and may be looking to wind down towards early retirement.”
Susan Goldstein, Head of Client Relations at EPA Plus commented:
“Apprenticeships offer fantastic opportunities to consolidate and expand knowledge and skills and for an experienced Team Leader, like Tony, they give the opportunity to have this expertise formally recognised.”
