Update on the Government Convergence Framework

CCS is leading the project to migrate users to cutting edge, cost effective replacement services

The Government Convergence Framework (GCF) is not a CCS procurement framework but a Vodafone technology platform sitting at the heart of the Public Service Network. 453 public bodies use it to send information digitally and securely.

CCS is leading the project to migrate users from GCF to cutting edge, cost effective replacement services. You can read the very latest in our July update.

The Vodafone GCF service contract is being extended by CCS to ensure service continuity. The scope of the service is being reduced to an essential core so that the cost will be, at worse, no more than that for previous contracts. The 453 users will be billed quarterly in arrears starting in July.

Over the next 12 months, CCS will procure the replacement services through a new framework. Customers will be contacted throughout the process to ensure their requirements are captured and to help with migration to the new service.

If they haven’t already done so, users will need to re-contract services originally contracted by them through GCF but that are not in the core GCF service list.

There are some GCF users yet to engage with CCS on their requirements from the Vodafone system and its replacements. These users now need to make contact with CCS at info@crowncommercial.gov.uk.
