Each academic session the NCFE Assessment Delivery team are responsible for producing an updated version of the External Assessment Timetable covering all NCFE CACHE qualifications, which have set dates for external assessments.

The External Assessment Timetable is constructed for each academic session (01 August – 31 July) and covers both NCFE and CACHE qualifications as detailed below:

• Applied Generals

Earlier this year, our centres were given the opportunity to comment on the Provisional External Assessment Timetable for 2020/2021 during the period of 01 April until 30 April 2019.

All comments submitted were then carefully considered by the NCFE CACHE Timetable Working Group and any changes made, before the timetable was finalised.

We’re now pleased to confirm that an updated version of the External Assessment Timetable including all new assessment dates for the 2020/2021 academic year has been published on our website, with all new assessments now also live and available in the Portal for centres to book their learners onto.

Linked in with this piece of work, we’ve also created two new publications which can be found within the ‘Support’ section of the External Assessment Timetable page online. The first is a Comments and Outcomes publication which details what feedback we had from our centres regarding our provisional External Assessment Timetable for 2020/2021 and our response to each of the points that were raised. The second document is a Construction of External Assessment Timetable which provides centres with information on how we go about timetabling our external assessments and our schedule for publishing updated versions of the timetable year on year.
