Voting is open for the 2018 STFC Photowalk Competition - Vote for your favourite now!

This summer, hundreds of amateur and professional photographers participated in one of the world’s largest photowalk competitions, and were given rare behind-the-scenes access to world leading science facilities.

The Science and Technology Facilities Council’s five laboratories in the United Kingdom hosted almost 200 photographers for the competition. Regional judging is now complete and the panels, including members of the Royal Photographic Society, have shortlisted their top images.

These 50 photographs are now open for a public online vote to choose the most inspiring and spectacular image.

The photographs will also be judged by a panel of professional scientists and photographers. In addition, the top photos from each UK site will be entered into the final international round of the Global Physics Photowalk in August. Their photos will compete against participants spanning Europe, North America, China and Australia! Watch this space for a chance to vote for the international winners too!
