WRAP Cymru guide to procuring plastics
Working with third party experts, WRAP Cymru has published a public sector guide to the procurement of plastics.
The guide contains in-depth, expert guidance on the different kinds of plastics and how they can be considered during the procurement process. It contains a wealth of information including sample procurement clauses, guidance on considering cost implications.
The guidance has been written with the existing waste hierarchy in mind, so that public sector clients and procurement officials can make well-informed, consistent decisions.
The guide also refers to recent case studies where local authorities have worked with Value Wales and WRAP Cymru to analyse and reduce the impact that plastics have on the whole public sector and is available here.
