Welsh Government guidance for landlords to share with tenants during Covid-19

New guidance has been published by the Welsh Government this week for landlords to pass on to tenants who need advice or support at this time.

The guidance includes advice for tenants who need to self-isolate in a shared property, and advice for tenants if they’re struggling to pay rent at this time.

Despite the rules around moving home being relaxed in England last week to allow this, in Wales the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020) state people can move house but only where the move cannot be postponed.

  • If you’re a landlord with a question about managing your rental property during the coronavirus pandemic, browse our updated guidance for landlords online.
  • Last month our policy team in Wales ran a webinar for landlords on managing their lettings business during Covid-19. You can listen back to this here.
