Witnesses sought following road traffic incident in Keynsham

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision following a police pursuit in Keynsham, Somerset on Wednesday 5 April.

The incident happened at around 5.22am after a VW Golf collided with a wall in Woollard Lane. Initial indications are that an Avon and Somerset Constabulary police car was pursuing the Golf in Charlton Road prior to the collision.

As the driver sustained serious injuries, the IPCC will independently investigate the circumstances of the incident and police involvement.

Anyone with information who may have seen or heard anything in the area which can assist the IPCC investigation is asked to call 0800 029 4688 or email
