techUK and Digital Policing Portfolio enter into strategic partnership

techUK is proud to announce the strategic partnership with the Digital Policing Portfolio.

The Justice & Emergency Services Committee and the Digital Policing Portfolio (DPP) are proud to announce that they have entered into a strategic partnership, formalising the strong working relationship fostered to date.

The partnership has been established to encourage more open, consistent and meaningful communication between Policing and industry. It aims to open up new opportunities to discuss shared issues facing Policing and technology suppliers, in order to better meet the needs of all parties and, ultimately, to offer improved service to the public.

The strategic partnership will:

  • Increase industry awareness of the remit and objectives of the DPP.
  • Support a more transparent and accessible market for technology in Policing.
  • Help drive a change in perspectives and behaviour within and between industry and Policing
  • Move towards more collaborative, relational and sustainable commercial arrangements, where solutions are developed together, underpinned by innovation and joint creative thinking.

techUK is hosting its annual Justice & Emergency Services Reception on 15 October, with keynote speaker Martin Hewitt, Chair of the NPCC. Leaders from the Digital Policing Portfolio will also be in attendance on the evening to celebrate this announcement.
