techUK member wins at 2019 DIGITALEUROPE Future Unicorn Awards

techUK SME member, Teslasuit, named last night as one of three winners of DIGITALEUROPE Future Unicorn Award.

techUK is delighted to report that SME member, Teslasuit was one of three winners announced at last night’s DIGITALEUROPE Future Unicorn Award.

Teslasuit produces the world’ first fully integrated smart clothing apparel with Haptic Feedback, Motion Capture, Climate Control and Biometric Feedback systems. The suit is set to become the default virtual reality interface in games and entertainment, fitness and sports, wellness and healthcare.

The Future Unicorn Award celebrates SMEs from across Europe that have the potential to become the future European tech giants. It puts companies under the spotlight which have demonstrated their success in digitising their business processes and offering innovative digital products and services.

Entrants were compiled by asking all the national trade associations affiliated with DIGITALEUROPE to select a single SME from their country. This resulted in a truly pan-European selection of incredible digital companies across all sectors, including wearable tech, fintech, education tech, eHealth, mobility, energy tech and many more.

The award is a testimony of the vital importance of SMEs in the wider digital ecosystem. It represents an opportunity to advocate for EU-wide policies and regulatory frameworks that nurture the entrepreneurial culture and enable SMEs to scale up.

The ceremony took place at the annual Masters of Digital Conference, and the award was presented by Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Digital Economy & Society.

We will be announcing later in the year details on how members can put themselves forward to be the UK's entry for the 2020 Future Unicorn Awards.
