BCS responds to the government’s announcement on points based immigration system.

Dr Bill Mitchell OBE, Director of Policy at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT said: “For the UK to remain a leader in IT and digital technology now that it has left the EU, an established and intuitive skills competency framework (SCF) should be employed to attract and retain industry talent from domestic and international markets.

“We have been looking closely at the work of the Australian Computer Society, which administers Migration Skills Assessment on behalf of the Australian government, to understand how their process can be expanded and adopted in the UK context.”
