Annual learning disabilities statistics released

Annual figures on the health and care of people with learning disabilities have been released by NHS Digital.

The Health and Care of People with Learning Disabilities, 2017-18 consists of data collected from just over half of GP practices in England on key health issues for people with learning disabilities1

It includes figures on:

The report also includes figures on the prevalence of various health conditions, such as epilepsy and heart disease.

Trend data is available for 2017-18 and the three years prior at CCG level.

Data has submitted has been submitted from 57 per cent of GP practices, covering 47 per cent of all patients registered in England.
