A Bedfordshire Police officer faces a trial, accused of driving without due care and attention.

Police constable Iain Moore, aged 36, will appear at Luton Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 14 September, following our investigation.

On 13 October 2019, he was responding to a call from a member of the public requiring urgent medical attention. He was driving a police vehicle which was then involved in a collision with a cyclist in Montrose Avenue, Luton. The man suffered serious injuries.

Our investigation was completed in March 2020 and a file of evidence referred to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) which made the decision to charge PC Moore.
