Border officer charged in class A drugs investigation

A Border Force officer has appeared in court charged with supplying and offering to supply class A drugs, as part of an investigation led by the National Crime Agency’s Anti-Corruption Unit.

Gareth Davies, 42, of Boscombe Road in Folkestone was arrested by NCA officers near his place of work in Folkestone on the afternoon of Saturday 25 January 2020.

The NCA investigation involved the alleged supply of ecstasy tablets.

Davies appeared before Folkestone Magistrates recently (Friday 26 November), and was bailed pending his next court appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on 4 January 2022.
