Boris the baritone busks in London

Mayor Boris Johnson gets into the singing spirit with band The Tailormade at the launch of this year's Gigs busking competition.

Budding young musicians can compete for the chance of winning a coveted licence to busk on the Tube and other great prizes.

• Aspiring musicians aged 11-25 can enter now at www.london.gov.uk/gigs.

The Mayor also announced Busk in London, a new initiative that includes the Capital's first busking code of conduct to make busking and street performance easier in London.
