The Crown Prosecution Service has announced that a 13-year-old boy has been charged following stabbings at a high school in North West London.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a bladed article on school premises and administering a noxious substance and possession of a bladed article. 

The charges relate to an incident at a school where a 12-year-old and 13-year-old boy were stabbed at around 12.40pm on Tuesday, 10 February. 

A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.

“We have worked closely with the police as they have carried out their investigation.

“We remind all concerned that criminal proceedings against this defendant are active and that he has the right to a fair trial.

“It is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.”

The defendant will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 12 February 2026.

The youth defendant, has been charged with:

• One count of attempted murder against Child A contrary to Section 1 (1) Criminal Attempts Act 1981
• One count of attempted murder against Child B contrary to Section 1 (1) Criminal Attempts Act 1981
• One count of unlawfully and maliciously administering to Child C a noxious thing, namely spraying insect spray in Child C’s face, with intent to aggrieve or annoy the said Child C contrary to section 24 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861.
• One count of possession of an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely a knife, on school premises contrary to section 139A(1) and (5) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
