About 'Resilient State'

The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a huge strain on the State, and while the response has demonstrated some of the great strengths of our public services and machinery of government, it has also exposed some of the biggest flaws. As we move towards a ‘new normal’, we have a unique opportunity to explore fundamental questions about the shape of the State and how it operates.

Reform’s ‘Resilient State’ programme seeks to learn the lessons from this crisis and identify the key building blocks that, if put in place, would enable us to better deal with future shocks and crises.
