CBI: Our comments on Patient Capital Review

We responded to Her Majesty's Treasury’s consultation on financing growth in innovative firms.

Flora Hamilton, CBI Head of Financial Services, said:

“The Government’s Patient Capital Review is welcome news for the UK’s entrepreneurs. Identifying the right finance for growing firms is a cornerstone of the new Industrial Strategy, and the Review will help these businesses navigate their future growth as we prepare to leave the European Union.

“It’s important that business works with the Government to shape the funding provision for growing and innovative firms, which must be robust and adequately support entrepreneurial businesses on their scale up journey.

“We look forward to responding to the consultation in full, after having consulted with our members on the detail.”
