The CBI has responded to the Government's £2.5 million additional funding for electric car charging points.

Tom Thackray, CBI Infrastructure & Energy Director, said:

“Maintaining momentum in the UK’s journey towards the mass uptake of electric vehicles has never been more crucial. It will enable more people than ever before to be part of the electric revolution no matter where they live, reducing emissions and improving air quality.

“As the UK’s charging infrastructure network grows, businesses will look for the Government to provide a clear recharging and refuelling national strategy.  One that ensures all parts of the country has access to the cleanest of transport and works towards our 2050 Net-Zero emissions goal.”
