CCW chief among lead speakers at vulnerability conference

CCW Chief Executive Emma Clancy will call for closer collaboration to end water poverty at Utility Week’s Consumer Vulnerability and Debt Conference this autumn.

The flagship digital event (14-15 September) will bring together a wide range of leading experts from across utilities and other sectors to share their insights on solving debt and supporting those in vulnerable circumstances.

Emma will lead a session on day one of the conference reflecting on the proposals to emerge from CCW’s independent review of the affordability of water – which could help end water poverty for around 1.5 million customers across England and Wales.

She’ll call on the water industry to seize a ‘once in a decade opportunity’ to improve support for millions of households either in water poverty on the cusp of being unable to afford their water bill.

Emma will also explain why the review offers valuable insights for other sectors and opportunities for utilities to work together to tackle wider affordability challenges.
