CTSI launches new professional Animal Health and Welfare qualification

22 Feb 2021 11:40 AM

Regulation (EU) 2017/625 now requires those working within the animal health and welfare arena to demonstrate their competence with a professional qualification. In response to this, CTSI have combined many years of experience in delivering professional qualification frameworks and the knowledge of the UK’s leading animal health and welfare experts to develop this new professional qualification.

Focussing on the legal requirements concerning the animal health and welfare regulatory framework, the course is designed to meet the needs of those working in either the public or private sector. The course also explores the relationship between animal health, animal welfare, the official food and feed controls and public health.

This qualification equips participants with the knowledge and key understanding of applying animal health and welfare law enforced by regulatory bodies across the UK.

Both DEFRA and Red Tractor have welcomed our work in this area.

This qualification is available to non-CTSI members and suitable for all those working in animal health and welfare.
