Cabinet Office post-Brexit arrangements: Find a Tender Service (FTS)

19 Nov 2020 12:31 PM

From 1 January 2021, following the UK’s departure from the EU, any UK public sector opportunity above public procurement thresholds* will be published to Find a Tender Service (FTS), a new e-notification platform to be introduced by Cabinet Office.

Find a Tender Service will replace the UK public sector’s usage of TED for publishing tenders and subsequent contract award notices above public procurement thresholds.

How does this affect the NEPO Portal?

There will be no change to how suppliers use the NEPO Portal.

The NEPO Portal will continue to be used to advertise and manage tendering opportunities from NEPO, the twelve North East local authorities and Nexus.

Public sector bodies advertising opportunities through the NEPO Portal, have worked closely with system provider, Proactis, to ensure compliance with the new post-Brexit arrangements. This means that, in addition to the standard NEPO Portal email notifications that are sent to registered suppliers, all above-threshold opportunities will also be published on Find a Tender Service from 1 January 2021.

What do I need to do?

No action is required by suppliers interested in bidding for public sector opportunities. Please be assured that, if you have a NEPO Portal account, you will continue to receive notifications from the NEPO Portal.

From 1 January 2021, you may wish to explore Find a Tender Service in order to:

If you are currently subscribed to receive notifications from the OJEU, this service will continue to inform you about opportunities from the European Union. However, above-threshold opportunities from the UK will no longer be included in these notifications.
