Committee on Climate Change Report and Government Response on the compatibility of UK onshore petroleum with meeting the UK’s carbon budgets.
The Committee on Climate Change has a duty under the Infrastructure Act 2015 to provide a report to government on the compatibility of exploiting domestic onshore petroleum, including shale gas, with UK carbon budgets and the 2050 emissions reduction target under the Climate Change Act 2008.
