Now, KCLC is pleased to announce that there is an opportunity for other centres to get involved in the project and benefit from the resulting regular monthly income.
They are specifically looking for venues in the following areas:
- Birmingham
- Bristol
- Croydon
- Ilford
- Leicester
- Newcastle
- Oxford
- Manchester
What Is Involved?
There are over 99,000 electrical professionals across the UK who hold an ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) card to demonstrate their credentials at work and on site. In order to obtain this card, which is renewable every two years, applicants need to complete an ECS Health and Safety Assessment.
These assessments were previously paper-based and only available at a limited amount of authorised centres across the UK. However, the assessments are now available online.
This is where your opportunity comes in
To qualify as a centre you must meet the following criteria:
- You must have 15+ broadband-connected PCs or laptops
- You must have two members of staff/volunteers who would be willing to invigilate computer-based assessments (full training will be provided free of charge)
- You must be able to make the above resources available for half a day or one full day per month
