This November (14-23) will see the return of the EFG London Jazz Festival, an annual celebration of jazz that spans the whole of the capital and gives people the opportunity access to a host of vibrant music events - with 30% of the programme being free it's truly accessible.

The Festival, which is produced by Arts Council England National portfolio organisation Serious, is the capital's largest pan-city music festival. The success and influence of the EFG London Jazz Festival is testament to Serious' national and international reputation as a leading force in jazz and live music.

Across 10 days in November, London will be alive with the sound of jazz, with opportunities for all - including children and young people and families - to enjoy all that the Festival has to offer. This year's event will span 19 boroughs right across London - from Brent, Barnet and Bromley through to Hackney, Lambeth and Lewisham and many more - ensuring that the widest possible audience has the opportunity to engage with jazz.

In 2013, the Festival attracted a live audience in excess of 100,000 spread across 280 events at 62 venues in London; this year promises to be even bigger, with more than 350 events across 68 venues!

Joyce Wilson, Area Director, London, Arts Council England, said: "The EFG London Jazz Festival's reach and influence across England is growing, not only by drawing more and more outstanding artists into its programme, but also creating opportunities for those artists to tour to other regions around the country - increasing access to and opportunities in jazz. This year will continue to push the boundaries and the Arts Council is proud to support its work."

In addition to producing the EFG London Jazz Festival - which is a fantastic international showcase for a wide range of emerging and mid-career artists - Serious also has a strong role in supporting talent development in England. Its Take Five programme of work highlights how Serious has been able change the lives and prospects of artists both in the UK and abroad.
