External Affairs Secretary Fiona Hyslop yesterday met with the French Government’s Minister of State for European Affairs Harlem Désir.
The meeting in Paris was the first time Ministers from both governments have met since the EU Referendum in June.
European issues, including Scotland's position on the EU Referendum result and the work of the Scottish Government in seeking to protect Scotland’s place in Europe were discussed.
The development of the strong Franco-Scottish cultural, economic, and educational links was also discussed, building on the statements of intent that were previously signed by both governments.
