European Union Committee reports on two trade agreements

The European Union Committee has published its twelfth report on Brexit-related international agreements.

This report considers two international agreements, which the Committee has reported for information:

The UK/Norway Road Transport Agreement is a rollover agreement, covering the small amount of commercial road transport between the UK and Norway (approximately 7,000 goods vehicles).

The CARIFORUM Economic Partnership Agreement, which was originally laid on 5 April, but has now been re-laid following discovery of errors in the previous text, allows certain Caribbean nations duty-free access to UK markets and provides a gradual reduction of duties for UK goods entering the CARIFORUM states. In total, the CARIFORUM Agreement accounts for about 0.2% of UK trade.
