Following the Queen’s passing, FSA Chair Professor Susan Jebb has paid tribute to the late monarch’s life and her commitment to public duty:

“The Queen was a remarkable presence throughout all of our lives.

“On a personal level I have always greatly admired her dedication to public service. I have felt honoured to serve her.

“She had an unstinting commitment to others and an incredible work ethic - the Queen carried out over 21,000 engagements over the course of her reign and worked as Patron for over 500 organisations.

“Her legacy will live on through the people she inspired, the charities she supported, the institutions she has shaped, and of course through her son and heir, King Charles III.”
