Congratulations to Companies House, winner of February’s GCS Campaign of the Month competition for their ‘My whole and brilliant self’ campaign.

The campaign aimed to increase job applications from underrepresented groups. This also supported the Civil Service’s ‘2020 Year of Inclusion’.

The team used a variety of content to amplify their message to a diverse audience, including engaging and thoughtful blogs, videos, and podcasts, which featured members of their Diversity and Inclusion networks. The team also worked with key stakeholders such as ‘Stonewall’ to extend their audience reach.

Judges commended the team on delivering a slick and impressive campaign, with professional images and content produced at a very low cost’. They also noted the ‘positive cross-over between external and internal engagement, with staff being proud to see themselves in such a positive public-facing campaign’.

Emma Ward, Head of External Communications at Companies House yesterday said:

“I’m absolutely delighted with this campaign and the results, and it’s brilliant to be recognised by our peers as having done a great job. I’m proud of this campaign not only because it tells an honest and compelling story about Companies House, but also because it demonstrates so clearly the organisational benefit and strategic outcomes of good communications.”

The results showed an increase in applications from underrepresented groups in the two months following the campaign, from 35.57% in November 2020 to 52.22% in December 2020.

Congratulations to the team:
