ESPO is a customer-focused and public sector owned professional buying organisation. ESPO are committed to getting the most for their customers by pursuing best practice in procurement, sourcing, supply chain partner support and management, contract management and EU compliance. |

ESPO was established in 1981 in order to increase purchasing power and therefore achieve savings to pass on to customers. ESPO is jointly owned by six county and city councils in central England, but its services are available to any public sector organisation in the UK including central government, emergency services and NHS trusts, local councils, education establishments and charities. |
Purchasing through ESPO can be done in a variety of ways:

- Catalogue: Over 27,000 items are available to order including stationery and office equipment, cleaning products and furniture
- Frameworks: ESPO provides around 150 frameworks which are an easy way to find suppliers that have been through a full UK procurement regulation compliant tendering process
- Specialist procurement: ESPO can work with you on bespoke procurement exercises suited to your needs

As part of WirdGov, ESPO will be regularly releasing information consisting of both their own updates (such as new products or services that may be of interest), as well as news, information and tips about procurement in general, for example any changes to legal regulations within the public sector. |
Add ESPO to your WiredGov profile: Some WiredGov profiles are set to automatically add and receive new channels, which means that most of you don’t need to take any further action. However, if you opted out of this setting when registering and wish to add ESPO news alerts to your WiredGov preferences, or modify your account in any way, simply:
- Go to http://www.wired-gov.net
- Sign-in using your email address and password
- Click on 'Update My Profile'
- Check your personal settings are correct on the first page and then click ‘Next’ at the bottom of the page
- Add ESPO and take the opportunity to add to or modify any of your preferences
- Click on 'Finish'
A summary of your modified WiredGov account will appear automatically.
