The Residential Landlords Association is excited to announce becoming a new entry on the WiredGov channel… Let’s make renting better!
The RLA is the leading national association for landlords in England and Wales, representing the views of over 50,000 landlords in our mission to raise the standards of private rented sector properties and tenancy management.
Established in 1998, we provide our members with a range of services, resources, training courses and professional telephone / webchat advice on most areas of property and tenancy management. We campaign on issues affecting the private rented sector and produce research and evidence through our own research lab (PEARL).
What we do:
Membership – To gain full benefit from the RLA, members can join from as little as £79.95 per year, which includes free and unlimited access to the RLA’s Landlord Advice Team, subscription to our member’s magazine (delivered to the doorstep), complete access to our documents library, website guides, member only discussion forum and a whole host of other benefits.
Campaigning – We represent our members at every level of government – at Westminster, Cardiff, regional and local. Our policy is evidence based, building on the knowledge and experience of landlords and informed by comprehensive research and data. We want simple and practical regulation, effectively enforced; a tax system that supports investment in badly needed homes to rent; a welfare system that allows private renting to support vulnerable tenants, not shut them out; and safety and standards that ensure safe, secure and legal homes for the millions of tenants who rely on private renting.
PEARL - The RLA through its Private renting Evidence, Analysis & Research Lab (PEARL) produces a wide spectrum of research reports on issues affecting the private rented sector. Its most recent publications include reports on Universal Credit and the growth of short-term letting on Airbnb, which have received significant media and political attention. The full library of research reports can be found on the PEARL website. |
