Launch of the UK Government Communication Plan 2021/2022

The Government Communication Service (GCS) has today published the UK Government Communication Plan 2021/2022.

This year’s plan set out how the GCS will deliver communications across the UK and internationally to support the Prime Minister’s priorities under seven key themes – with the overarching ambition to help the country build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The work set out in the plan, including on the Reshaping GCS transformation programme, marks an important milestone for our profession as we work to become an even stronger and more unified organisation.

It also outlines areas of focus for communications professional practice across government – from continuing to embed behavioural science into our campaign planning, to upskilling in data and digital, and the importance of communicating locally.
