Leadership election 2022: Communications Infrastructure and Services Council

24 Jan 2022 03:33 PM

techUK is holding elections for the Chair and two Vice-Chairs of the Communications Infrastructure and Services Council, and we have opened nominations for members.

The Council sets the strategic direction of the Communications Infrastructure and Services Programme and maintains techUK as the home of telecoms policy in the UK.

Our Programme brings together FTSE 100 companies and SMEs from across the telecoms sector - fixed, wireless, mobile and satellite operators, equipment suppliers - to advocate a connected future for all. We work with stakeholders in government and the regulator with telecoms companies around the themes: Resilience, security and network innovation; deployment of infrastructure; and demand for advanced communications services.

We do so to lower the cost to the sector of deployment, ensure confidence in networks, spur innovation and unlock value for all parties in 5G, fixed and satellite networks. The Programme’s work is delivered through a mix of thought leadership, multilateral engagement, policy development and ecosystem building.

Today, we are opening nominations for techUK members who would like to put themselves forward for the CISC leadership election.

To nominate yourself or a colleague for Chair or Vice-Chair of techUK’s Communications Infrastructure and Services Council please complete this form and return to Sophie James (Sophie.James@techUK.org) by 17:00 on Thursday 3 February 2022.

The Terms of Reference for the CISC can be accessed here. Once all nominations have been received, a notice will go out to members to vote. There will strictly be one vote per member company. The election will then be decided on a first past the post system.

The timeline for the elections is as follows:
