MP joins YPO to discuss zero-emission solutions

Accompanied by YPO and Pelican, Yvette Cooper MP recently visited Pelican’s electric buses and coaches to discuss how the public sector can play a key role in driving the electric bus revolution forward. This visit follows the award of Pelican as a local supplier onto the YPO 1066 Alternative Fuelled Vehicles Dynamic Purchasing Solution (DPS), which enables the purchase of alternative fuel vehicles, including buses, on a larger scale than ever before.

Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford MP, Yvette Cooper said, "It was brilliant to see electric vehicles being put together right in the heart of the five towns. I'm pressing for us to have more of these kinds of good, green jobs, including green manufacturing jobs to enable our local economy to thrive in the future."
