Macron’s crushing victory in the French parliamentary election means he has no excuses for failure

As French President Emmanuel Macron defies expectations in the French legislative elections, Open Europe’s Marta Vokshi argues the pressure is really on him now.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s La République en Marche (LREM) won 350 of 577 seats in the National Assembly, the lower house of the French parliament.  The result grants the newly-elected president a commanding parliamentary majority.
