This data provides information about the number and types of applications that HM Land Registry completed in March 2024.

Please note this data shows what HM Land Registry has been able to process during the time period covered and is not necessarily a reflection of market activity. 

In March: 

• HM Land Registry completed more than 1,865,580 applications to change or query the Land Register  
• the South East topped the table of regional applications with 420,415 

HM Land Registry completed 1,865,589 applications in March compared with 1,900,950 in February and 2,026,527 last March 2023, of which:  

• 295,437 were applications for register updates compared with 282,642 in February 
• 1,063,005 were applications for an official copy of a register compared with 1,121,090 in February  
• 191,839 were search and hold queries (official searches) compared with 174,348 in February 
• 83,467 were transactions for value compared with 84,061 in February 
• 20,519 were postal applications from non-account holders compared with 20,293 in February
