A Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officer will face trial today at Southwark Crown Court for sexual assault following an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

PC Rudvelle Walters, 47, who is attached to the North West Command Unit, is accused of sexual assault on a woman on Tuesday 5 February 2019 at a hotel on Wembley High Road, when he was on duty.

Following a mandatory referral from MPS, we investigated PC Walters’ conduct after he was assigned to check on the welfare of a woman who had been reported missing.
