NCFE announces new Chair of the Board

National Awarding Organisation, NCFE, is delighted to welcome Deborah Jenkins MBE DL as Chair of the NCFE Board. A highly skilled Chair, NED and consultant with more than 30 years’ experience of working on and with boards, Deborah joins NCFE at an exciting time of growth and continuing success.

Deborah is CEO at The Derwent Initiative (TDI) which is an independent national charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne which aims to reduce the risk of sexual offending. She is also Chair at Together for Children and the Northern Neonatal Network (NNN), and runs Kindling Ltd, a consultancy set up in 1997 that has fostered a suite of innovative social projects.

Adding to this wealth of experience, Deborah was awarded an MBE in 1995 for services to urban regeneration and has just been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for Tyne and Wear.

Speaking of her appointment Deborah said:
