NEPO supplier supports Local Welfare Provision scheme

NEPO’s nationally available solution for Furniture has been in place since 2017.

The solution features three lots:

• Lot 1: Office Furniture
• Lot 2: Educational Furniture
• Lot 3: Residential and Domestic Furniture

NEPO Member Authority, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council needed support with their Local Welfare Provision scheme and turned to NEPO's solution for Furniture for assistance. 

Furniture Resource Centre are the sole supplier for Residential and Domestic Furniture (Lot 3). The company delivers a number of Local Welfare Provision contracts across the country and have an excellent understanding of local authority requirements - namely robustness, quality and value.

Furniture Resource Centre were able to work with Redcar's Local Welfare Provision team to implement a user-friendly, efficient route to meeting service-user's needs:

• Furniture Resource Centre created a product guide for all Redcar & Cleveland staff which included living room, dining and bedroom furniture, appliances, pans, crockery and cutlery, and a range of installation services.
• Redcar’s Local Welfare Provision team simply select the products they require and the Furniture Resource Centre deliver them within five working days. If there is a more urgent need, same day delivery can be arranged.
• Furniture Resource Centre install the products in the right place, take away all packaging, and connect appliances, all in one delivery. If required, old products are removed and taken to the North Tyneside warehouse for recycling.
