The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to improving the overall health of the population through informing health policy and practice and in the development, advancement and evaluation of research methodologies.

NICE and LSE Health, which is one of the largest research centres at the London School of Economics and Political Science, already work closely on several initiatives. For example, NICE is a member of the Innovative Medicines Initiative-funded Big Data for Better Outcomes Consortium led by LSE Health.
