New accreditation for digital skills qualifications - could you deliver?

As Ofqual approves accreditation for new Essential Digital Skills Qualifications, we’re asking the Online Centres Network about delivering accredited courses in their communities and what it could mean for their organisation – and their learners.

This year saw the Government launch the Essential Digital Skills Entitlement and the new Essential Digital Skills Qualifications - giving everyone in the UK the chance to gain a funded qualification in essential digital skills. The qualifications start at entry-level 3 and go up to level 1 – bringing digital skills in line with English and Maths.

We now want to know more about what our community partners think about delivering accredited qualifications, and about your current links with FE colleges and other accredited training providers in your area.

Please complete this short survey to help us develop future programmes and make improvements to Learn My Way.

If you would like to find out more about delivering the qualifications, Gateway Qualifications is the first awarding organisation to have been approved by Ofqual. They are currently running weekly training webinars and taking expressions of interest from organisations interested in delivering the qualifications. We anticipate that more awarding organisations will be approved in the autumn.
